Occasionally, we get asked if artificial grass is flammable. A super valid concern! The good news is that it is not flammable, however it can melt under extreme concentrated heat or open flame. If a cigarette butt or a hot piece of charcoal from the BBQ were accidentally dropped on the turf, it could not catch on fire, but a few of the grass blades could be melted. The other one we have experienced is when the gardeners are doing hedge trimming and put the hot engine of their gas-powered equipment directly on the turf, it can melt the spot underneath. If this happens to you, just give us a call and we can usually replace the melted patch with the repair piece that we left you after the installation. Rest assured, your synthetic turf will not catch on fire, it is made from a non-flammable material!
