After both installing and using a variety of the top golf launch monitors, I have saved you a bit of research and put together a quick summary of the best brands for your indoor golf simulator (whether its for your ultimate man cave, garage, basement, golf academy or other).
I will rank these from “most affordable, to most expensive”. As with anything in life, you generally get what you pay for. If you are more of a recreational golfer, there is no need to spend the big bucks, but if you’re a high-level or professional golfer then Trackman or Foresight are going to be your best options. I encourage you to do your own research as well, but here is what we can tell you:
1. Optishot Golf: $
The OptiShot Golf Simulator is a budget-friendly option that uses infrared sensors to track the movement of your club and ball. It is designed for indoor use and can be set up in a variety of spaces, including a basement, garage, or dedicated home golf simulator room.
One of the main benefits of the OptiShot is its affordability – it is significantly cheaper than other golf simulator options on the market. It is also relatively easy to set up and use, making it a good option for those new to golf simulators. All you really need for this is a hitting net, versus some other models you will need a full-on screen. You can use foam golf balls with these which is probably more safe to use in your house.
The OptiShot offers a variety of virtual courses to play on, and allows you to practice your swing and work on different aspects of your game. However, it should be noted that the accuracy and realism of the OptiShot may not be as high as other, more expensive golf simulators on the market.
2. SkyTrak: $$
SkyTrak is a mid-range golf simulator that uses a high-speed camera to track the movement of your club and ball. It is designed for indoor use and can be set up in a variety of spaces, including a basement, garage, or dedicated home golf simulator room.
One of the main benefits of SkyTrak is its accuracy and realism – it uses advanced technology to track the ball and club and offers a wide variety of virtual courses to play on. It is also relatively easy to set up and use, making it a good option for those new to golf simulators.
In addition to being used for recreational play, SkyTrak can also be used for professional training and analysis, as it provides detailed data on your shots, including launch angle, spin rate, and carry distance.
Overall, SkyTrak is a mid-quality golf simulator that offers a good balance of features and affordability.
3. Foresight GC Quad: $$$
Foresight Sports GCquad is a high-end golf simulator that uses dual high-speed cameras to track the movement of your club and ball. It is designed for indoor use and can be set up in a variety of spaces, including a basement, garage, or dedicated home golf simulator room.
One of the main benefits of the Foresight Sports GCquad is its accuracy and realism – the dual high-speed cameras provide highly detailed and precise data on your shots, including launch angle, spin rate, and ball speed. It also offers a wide variety of the best virtual courses to play on.
